Hollywood Talent Managers Christina Havis and Marie Lemelle linked to Los Angeles Civil Case

Hollywood talent agency Platinum Star Media Group, Inc. executives Christina Havis, 40, and Marie Lemelle, 65, have come under fire after being linked to a botched civil case. Both women are linked to the legal case according to Los Angeles Superior Court records.

In court documents, Lemelle describes the other party in the legal dispute as a former client. According to reports, Lemelle is the CEO of Platinum Star Media Group, Inc., and Havis is the Vice President of Operations at the company.

Reports say Lemelle initiated the legal case by filing a violence restraining order against the former client. According to court documents, Lemelle alleged that the former client “threatened” her. Additionally, Lemelle alleged that the former client had “created a disturbance” at her residence.

According to sworn testimony, Lemelle alleged that the former client “sent me threatening emails”, “exhibited erratic behavior”, and “consistently exhibited emotional abuse, fraud, and deceit”, court filings state. Lemelle’s claims could not be corroborated, court documents show.

Court filings reveal that Havis was named in the case as the process server. Analysis of court data reveal Havis, an unregistered process server, delivered legal papers for a continuance in the case to the former client’s attorney the day before the original trial was scheduled.

Court documents show Lemelle requested the continuance due to a production scheduling conflict and was granted a 56 day extension.

A superior court judge in Los Angeles threw out Lemelle’s legal case against the former client, dismissing her allegations as “unwarranted”.

The court found that “the party requesting the order of protection did not sustain the applicable burden of proof and accordingly the request is denied.”

Experts who viewed the case believe that Lemelle conspired to undermine the former client by trying to vilify the person with fabricated information.

Lemelle, for her part, has come under fire for misdeeds during the trial where she is being accused of improper conduct. This, following the reveal of evidence to validate allegations against her.

Recently a Los Angeles coalition released a report from a probe against Lemelle from a year-long ethics committee investigation.

The report was based on Los Angeles Superior Court records and more than 60 interviews detailing community history and business affairs, as well as a pattern of alleged misconduct detailed by community leaders, government personnel, News, entertainment executives, and Hollywood insiders, the coalition stated.

According to reports, the investigation began in June 2023 after a query to a local organization following accusations of misconduct and concluded in June 2024. In July 2024 the coalition released their key findings.

The scathing report released last week by SoCal Impact reveals how Lemelle, a former California Commissioner on the Commission of the Status of Women, and a noted social change activist, engaged in “egregious misconduct.”

Investigators said Lemelle’s misconduct had “led to a practice of intimidation.” Investigators also believe that Lemelle’s actions jeopardized the safety of the former client who is reportedly a documented domestic violence victim.

Investigations, who reviewed hundreds of investigative files, stated “Lemelle possibly engaged in online harassment and cyberstalking where she followed the domestic violence victim on her social media channels,” the report stated.

According to the report, at the time the investigation was completed in June 2024, “Lemelle had approximately seven images of the domestic violence victim posted on her social media Facebook account.”

The investigation revealed that “surveillance video helped conclude the report. The committee was able to verify facts through video footage, phone logs, voicemails, grassroots efforts and extensive outreach.”

The investigation determined that “Lemelle provided false and misleading information under oath in the court documents delivered by Havis, which allowed her to wrongly execute the continuance.”

The investigation concluded that “Lemelle misled the court by misrepresenting herself as the victim to wrongfully secure an extension of nearly two months on a restraining order as a result of providing false information under oath.”

The report found “Lemelle was aware that the victim had been under restraining orders and even knowing of the victim’s history as a crime victim chose to publicly disclose addresses for the crime victim.”

The report criticized Lemelle, saying “the executive was aware of the serious breach of trust but failed to take action to stop it.”

At press time, a query with the Los Angeles Superior Court named Marie Lemelle, Marie Y. Lemelle, and Marie Yvonne Lemelle, all the same person, in at least 15 court cases. The court types range from negligent breach of contract and civil harassment to fraud.

Cases involving Lemelle have been heard at Stanley Mosk Courthouse, Pasadena Courthouse, and Glendale Courthouse, all in Los Angeles County.

The coalition stated that “by improving transparency into investigations, SoCal Impact expects the number of cases reported to increase and will act as a deterrent and prevent misconduct.”

“The best investigations expose wrongdoing or injustice and spark reform. We endeavor to give voice to the voiceless,” the coalition stated.

As part of our policy, we do not refer to the victim by name, our of respect for the victims and survivors.

Lemelle has also been linked to Platinum Star PR Inc., Angel City Salute (ACS), and Pitbull PR Agency Inc.
